No PID slot

Featured Replies

Hi all

My daughter's bought a 62 plate Up. It must be the base model because the dash doesn't have the cutout for the PID.

What other options have you tried for bluetooth/music etc (other than the obvious AUX input)

thanks,

Martin

On the basis of a strong recommendation on here, a Kitsound MyJack https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B018G9FP4W

I suspect the later myjack 2 would do the trick too https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071J7Y52F

This looks remarkably similar to the original one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bluetooth-Receiver-Wireless-Microphone-Speakers-MeadHawk-Metal-Grey/dp/B086VZQG55

Pair it with a 90-degree adaptor so it's not sticking out and easily damaged

Are you sure? I think all early Citigo's are PID compatible, perhaps there is a plastic blanking plate covering it?

As mentioned above I'm pretty sure they all came with the wiring as the PID was an optional extra. There should be a triangular blanking plate that pops out and the connectors are underneath.

My sons 62 plate just had the blanking plug so I popped it out an plugged in a second hand PID picked up off Ebay.

There are definitely versions that don't have the blanking plate, I saw several hire cars with a plain dash a few years ago in Cyprus and was quite surprised as I had just got my Citigo.

Yes I'm in agreement. We've just got it home and there's definitely no blanking plate.
