Been away for a bit, now coming back and on the hunt for a Greenline

Has anyone got any advice for buying a used Greenline? Years ago we had a lovely VRS, but now coming back to the fold and after a high MPG estate.

If I can get a Superb on budget that'd be great but I think realistically we are looking at a Fabia Greenline or Octavia Greenline in the 4-6k price range with less than 100k miles on it.

Has anyone got any advice for things to look for and be wary of in the used car market on the 1.2 and 1.6tdi models?

Welcome back.

With a 1.2 or 1.6 TDI Euro 5 be aware of what the car having had the Emissions Fix carried out can mean, and be aware of what EGR issues might affect the car.

You will see threads in the Fabia Mk2 section.  Maybe stick a 'wanted ad' up in the Classified section of this forum, and also look at what Briskoda Members have advertised for sale.

Thanks, didn’t know about that issue.

is there a way to see if a VIN or reg has had the emission recall done, or is there a way to roll back the software if it has been done?

So  pickup our new wheels this week. Found a Superb Greenline 3T estate. Decent history and service history.

Just purchased new rubber mats for it and now looking for the best solution to update the factory 2012 Bolero to a Skoda unit that supports AirPlay.

glad I still have my old (genuine) VagCom kit still from my VRS to help out!

Hi Oli,

I just bought a 2013 superb estate (facelift) and also have the Bolero.

When you said a unit that supports airplay, did you mean apple carplay (android auto) that uses your phones sat nav? If so, did you happen to find anything, as that's what I'm after.

Thanks

I did. If you check my topics and posts you’ll see an entire thread for not. Basically bought the radio from a Yeti and got it coded. Few extra bits installed as well. I bought our radio from retrofitsw.co.uk. You’ll likely need to add a microphone and disable/unplug the old Bluetooth module.
