Right dipped beam works "Sometimes".

Featured Replies

Hi Guys.

I am the proud owner of a 2014 Škoda Superb 1.6 TDI GreenLine III Elegance 5dr.

All great apart from the front right dipped beam has a fault. It works when you start the car and then shuts off after a few minutes or can stay on for a while. I have to restart the car for it to work again but it will turn off again. This can be a pain especially on country roads.

I assume its not the bulb but the control unit for the bulb. Can anyone confirm this and advise how to get one for a reasonable price and how to change it.

The last time I changed a bulb or similar was on my old Cortina lol.

Many thanks in advance.

Had a similar fault in mine shortly after purchase. They replaced the entire headlight unit as it had a motor fault and shut the bulb down as it wasn’t aimed correctly.
If it’s the same problem then yours will be holding a code.

Many thanks for that. I will look into it.
