Featured Replies

for the past month i had some problems with my  car, sudden moments when it doesnt go past 2500 rpm. if it stop and start the engine again it comes back  to normal. took the car to a old friend thats a pretty good mechanic and he said that he pulled out every single sensor to see if it appears in the dash..it did till he unplugged the turbo sensor one..that one didnt appear, any ideas why it doesnt appear? (sorry for bad english or bad explaining)

Have you had your car 'chip tuned'? Some tuners disable some of the diagnostics checks...

When i bought it ,i asked specifically if it was 'chip tuned' in any way. He said its not at all

It might be worth getting it looked at by someone with VCDS/OBDeleven and scanning it. Or book it in at a Skoda garage and let then scan it with their system.

Are these moments by any chance always when the vehicle is at a standstill?

Will it ever rev above 2.5K rpm at a standstill?

If the answers are Yes and No then there is no problem, they are all like that!

Forget the above, I didnt take in the part that if you cycle the ignition the fault goes away. Unless there is a failure of some sort of the speed monitoring system as 2.5k rpm is what the revs are limited to at standstill until you move away a couple of yards.
