How do I get to what would be radio position with Kessy? 

I have to do a bit of day and night Surveillance  in my job. Many hours in the car trying to not draw attention to myself. 
so feet on the floor press stop start , ignition lights up, press it again it goes dark and leaves me the radio etc.

but 15? Min later it shuts off. And I press stop start but it lights up the daytime running lights. 
 

Am I missing a trick ? Is there a way to be stealthy ? Or do I have to fit a stealth switch to the DRL?

If you have the Amundsen radio, standard on the SEL just press the large left hand power button on the radio, no need to press the KESSY stop/start ignition button. Radio should stay on for 30 minutes before power saving mode switches it off. At least the DRL will not come on.

Another option is that you can program the car to add a DRL on/off option with VCDS to the Infotainment system.

That’s an interesting option. 
my preference is light off, DRL off. Lights on auto Then DRL come on with ignition.

 

I could also lengthen the battery saver time
