Fault Code reader

Featured Replies

Hi sorry if this has been asked before but what's a good  fault code reader for a 2016 Skoda superb ??? I have seen some on Amazon..

Regards Terry

A bit expensive, but the official Ross-tech VCDS version is reliable and it includes ross-tech assistance and an important forum + unlimited free SW updates.

I'm fully satisfied with it. ;)

Code scanner

By contrast, I bought one on Amazon for £12, if all you want to do is read codes. The one above is unavailable, but has links to others. Make sure the one you choose reads VWs.

I used mine in my Alfa Romeo Brera and it worked well for simple code reading. I've never had a reason to plug it into my Sportline.

Some of the launch or Autel diagnostics are reasonable enough if you get them second hand.

And another update, I purchased 3 glow plugs at £12 each. I did not change the one with a sensor fitted as Skoda wanted £127 for it. But what was interesting is the state of cylinder no 4's Glow Plug.  What do we think is happening... its the dirty one LOL
