Rear Brake Sticking

Featured Replies

Rear right hand braqke sticking on - replaced caliper twice and also flexible hydraulic hose - still sticking - any help would be appreciated

Are you fitting new callipers or ones from a breakers. Have you greased the runners the callipers sits on from the mounting bracket.

Disconnect the handbrake cable from that side and reassess.

Thanks for you advice, however, the handbrake cable is working freely and adjusted correctly. but still sticking!

Two brand new calipers have been fitted - pads are free to move and not holding on, and the handbrake cable is free and adjusted correctly. Still binding!

To clarify, the pads are free to move in the caliper but are not releasing from the disc?

Have you screwed the piston fully home and retried?

Does cracking the bleed nipple open relieve any pressure?
