Front passenger electric window not working

Featured Replies

Hi. I changed battery and windows worked great for a day. Then I wound the passenger window down a few inches with switch on drivers door. Then passenger door stopped working.  Fuse fine. However no power to fuse holder for that particular slot. Not sure where to go from here. Have door panel off. Thank you Fabbydawn

The usual suspect in this situation will be the wires inside the door bellow. Thats the rubber-y gaiter that goes over the wires between the door and the cars chassis. It is meant to protect the wiring but they still snap. Frequently! A good close look right inside at each and every wire is needed, both front doors. Then if thats not the issue, come back here.

Many thanks for reply meg

I ended up taking it to an auto electrician who found a broken wire in door and a short in wire behind glove box.

Sorted it but I still have problems re lights left on alarm not working and not being able to control passengers window from driver door so trying to change lock module. Thank you

Did the electrician check both sides, though? It may work on one switch, without the other.
