Auto lights

Featured Replies

Does anyone else find that when they have their lights in the auto position that they are on an awful lot during bright daylight?? I also find that all my dash lights are on with the overhead lights that shine onto the gearstick area.

Is there anyway the sensitivity can be adjusted as I see loads of other cars with auto lights and not on although perhaps the driver has the switch to off.

I know I can do this but then what’s the point of having the function, I’d like to adjust if possible?

There is an option in the infotainment where you can change the activation from Early, Normal or Late (or something like that).

Keep in mind that auto lights will come on during poor lighting conditions. That doesn’t just mean when it’s dark. Low bright light behind you can also trigger them. Equally, the auto function is there to assist. Not take over from the driver altogether. If you fell the lights should or should not be on at a certain time, over ride them.

Thanks for this.

They were on this morning even though it was a bright autumnal morning. Sub was out too yet the lights were still on.

I have played with the setting and will see how it goes.

They can also be set in the infotainment menus to activate when the wipers are operating.

The functional design specification tells me this. Or "Manual" to most of the population. :D

I just switch my lights on when i need them, I've done it for 55yrs, i dont need them on when i put the car in the garage during the summer, DRLs are bright enough at night. 😊

I leave mine in auto for the coming home lights. The closet street light to me is over a mile away so every little helps
