Saw this whilst having my coilovers fitted. In a car park, but on the public highway. Surely illegal?? (number plates if you haven't noticed)

Illegal if you take them out on the road, not in a car park, but depending on where the car park is a grey area. Presume it was outside a dealers ?

Probably just within the law.

Just in an ordinary car park outside a local garage and shop. Must have been on the road to get to where they were.

What, 2 cars with the same numberplates.

Might be ok if they had dealer plates in the window? like they do on test drives?

What, 2 cars with the same numberplates.

Only looked at one car.....didn't move the picture to see the other car.....I've excellent eyesight honest...........I drive Trains....

dont know but is one a 1 and one a I??

No, they should both be 1's with that format. the I is only used on NI registered cars. It is possible that one is LDS 1 and the other is a mis spaced LD 51.

Aah, numpty me,

it must be a main dealers with advertisement plates on.

If I had a 42" flat screen monitor I may have seen this, or maybe chameleon eyes, or sense!!:D

either dealer plates OR some one has bought identicle newer and had plates transferred (guessing one on right with GB being the newer) and then old car will be re-registered.

it cant be a S1 and a 51 besuase there bothe S1's might just be a dealers way of marking their own cars for demos...

The one on the left looks like it hasn't been PDI'd & isn't registered.

Probably just a dealers own plate.

Saw this discussed on a TV programme the other night (on Dutch TV), where a chap in a cav got a fine for driving around with neons lit underneath his car as he parked his car in the McDonalds car park. His reasoning of it being a private car park was dismissed by the police officer saying that as it wasn't closed by a barrier it was considered an extension of the public road (as anyone is able to drive through it).

LDS1 is a registered plate, and registered to a 320 CDI. I can't quite make out the model number on the left hand car, but the right hand one is def a 320.

None of the other combinations offered are registered to a vehicle on the road at the moment.

Odd.

We have demo cars with 'RENWICKS' on the number plate.

If anyone wants to take the car out we just have to through a set of trade plates on it.

But at Peugeot we pride ourselves on letting people have complentary Demo drives so they realise how bad the Peugeot is, and learn to fully appreciate their new VW.

Just run the plate though our DVLA systems to see what the car is registered as and it did not come up, so just a promotion I should think.
