Advice needed on + and - of going from 17" to 16" wheels

Quite right Expatman - it's become an OTT issue  - one of those things that's just got stuck in my mind  - and totally out of proportion.

After a couple of months I know I will forget all about it.

You'll forget about it within the first five miles of comfortable ride - and your wallet will be more comfortable because 16" tyres are cheaper than 17" and last longer!

that's providing my wallet forgets about buying the new rims of course !
