On the suspension struts is a rubber bellow cover which has become detached on the top and bottom. I can pull the bottom down over to keep it in place but not the top. Is there a magic answer as don't really want to have to go to the trouble of removing strut.

No, don't worry about it.

The bellows is only meant to be fixed at the top.
