Hello to everyone. I can say that I'm heppy to find a place where people help each other with basic and not so much stuff for repairing thir cars. I'm a 36 years old construction worker(dryliner/fixer) currently living in Newport, South Wales.

Have a lovely wife and two beutyfull girls that mean te worwd to me. Originally I am from Bulgaria. I live in the United Kingdom from 6 years now.

At the moment I drive a 14 plate skoda octavia estate 2.0 tdi engine that used to be an ambulance. This is my second skoda. First one was 06plate Fabia estate again. Must say I have something for estate cars.

On my fabia i was at a point that was doing all servicing, pads even an egr valve and timing belt (with help) due to bad luck with mechanics.

As mynew one is a bit newer, I'm still not sure do I want to try and do things on my own.

Once again happy to be here.

Thanks

Yav

Welcome @Yav hope your Octavia runs well for you. I watched some of a YouTube video this week of someone who bought an ex ambulance Mk2 Octavia vRS TDI that had done 200000mi and it needed a lot of sorting out from the heavy use and equipment fit. You should be able to DIY a fair bit of the maintenance work of yours isn’t as bad as his!

HI @Pilotguy

I had the opportunity to chose from over 20+cars and luckily I found a quite good one. Only 74k miles and in a good condition for an ex service car
