Traffic Sign Recognition

Featured Replies

Hi

can anyone confirm they have traffic sign recognition working on a U.K.  ‘20 scala sel?

The brochure says it comes as standard but there is no option to enable it in the driving assistance menu.
ive spoke to my dealer who tell me the traffic signs appear on the satnav, which I have.
Surely these are based on GPS and not the front camera.
The Skoda website has a video showing TSR working on the virtual cockpit.

Cheers

Hi Philegl,

I am also after the answer to this.

The online manual, page 50, Driver Information System has five different options for setup of the virtual cockpit, and in the illustration for E ("Sporty") can just be seen traffic sign icons at 11 o'clock and 2 o'clock of the central main display.    I happen to favour this option, and would dearly like to have the TSR there, too.  PLEASE can somebody advise how to get it - thanks!

I have a SEL DSG with loads of extra's

The UK spec has Satnav built in, sadly it is the biggest piece of S..t imaginable.

Very slow at map  updates and continually asks to do a u turn instead of working out new more direct route

No speed or traffic sign recognition

The post code is a lottery with no road names

It is rubbish at pronouncing English place names or though some are very funny at times

It is the most god awful clunky piece of rubbish I have ever used an entry level 10 year old TomTom would wipe the floor  with it

If you want a very good all rounder use Waze through your mobile it has 95% of the things you need in a Satnav. it's free uses very little data works great through Apple Carplay

Rant over

I can't really see the advantage of having to check my screen to see what a traffic sign showed. I have it on the vRS and don't use it. I'm not a massive fan of excessive tech taking your eyes off the road, its so easy to be distracted anyway.
