Octavia III - can't code ILA or traffic sign recognition

Featured Replies

Hello

HEX V2 and 24.7.1 here.

I have a 2019 Octavia III vRS, which has Lane Assist (as I believe they all do), and therefore a camera which theoretically means I can activate auto high beam and traffic sign recognition.

I have been into the list of verified adaptions/coding and tried to do both of those things, however have hit a brick wall.

Problem 1 - High Beam Assist

The channels seem to no longer be as simple as 1, 2, 3, etc., so when I get into adaptation channels, I get a list as long as your arm with things like:

  • IDE08786-ENG142228-Assistance light functions-Masikerung_Regenfunktion
  • IDE08786-ENG141985-Assistance light functions-Regen_Lichtsensor

and so on and I don't know what any of it means. Am I missing some sort of setting to change the channel list to something I understand?

Problem(s) 2 and, actually, 3

I have also gone through the instructions to enable traffic sign recognition - again, car has Lane Assist and an MIB Amundsen

Same problem with adaption channels - there is nothing that I would identify as "Channel 63"

Problem #3 - I don't have Controller A5 for the front/front view camera as a selectable option.

Did something happen in MY19 or 20 that changed the way the coding works?

Grateful for any help

Also - module 09 - it seems mine shows up as a Seat Leon in this module. I tried to change it to Octavia 5E but wouldn't accept the coding.

Why's it done that? Anything to do with LED lights?

Can you start with a full auto scan from vcds? If you haven't already, I would also suggest taking adaptation maps in CSV if every module. At least the way you know what coding/adaptions your car had to start with.

The instructions you're following probably aren't perfect for you car as there are various cameras over the years which are slightly different.

I assume you've currently made no changes and everything is working as expected?

Yes I took an auto scan last night. I've not made any changes yet as, other than the functionality of the ILA and Traffic Sign Recognition, there was nothing else to do.

My choice of words was probably not quite right - "can't" should have probably read "don't know how to because the adaption channels are not as I expected".

However I have since found updated instructions which show the correct channels to look for on facelifted cars, so I am going to try again later.

I don't know how to take adaptation maps in CSV though.
