I thought Belarus was in Europe? It's not in the EU, but neither is Norway and Switzerland.

The old Skoda Rapid had 175/70R14 tyres on entry models, but the new Rapid starts with 185/60R15 tyres with 195/55R16 also available. The outside diameters of these two tyre sizes don't match. 185/65R15 and 195/55R16 match as do 185/60R15 and 195/50R16.

Yes the existing Rapid got a Scala style facelift for Russia and other developing markets.

 

The Chinese market 4 door sedan and sportback have had a similar facelift too.

The ride height was 15mm higher, but the tyre sizes were the same in 14" and 15", ie. 175/70R14 and 185/60R14. It was only the 16" tyres that were different, ie. 195/55R16 instead of 215/45R16. On Russias potholed roads (they have harsh winters) I doubt low profile 215/45R16 tyres would have been of much interest to them...it's also an expensive size and the average Russian monthly salary is a fraction of what it is in Western Europe.
