Has anyone had a play with the new octavia and vcds? If so what have you been able to do? 

The Octavia 4 is based on the same platform as the Golf 8 which has a diagnostic gateway - meaning that without a special one time code from a VAG server you cannot change coding and adaptation values in many of the modules. So the ability for owners to change the setup would appear to be much more limited.

oh wow really, well thats a bit **** aint it. Was hoping to do a few bits with VCDS

Ross-Tech are working out what is and isn't possible at the moment, but the shortage of Golf 8's in the US is making it slower than they would like.

So I cannot hook up a VCDS and activate features ?
