Noise when accelerating in low gears

Featured Replies

Just bought this car it’s 4 yrs old it’s making a noise when accelerating in low gears

Little bit vague... I guess it's normal for a car to make some noise when accelerating... It's not an electric car... 🤣🤪😁

Any sensation of vibration?

My Octavia sometimes when accelerating sounds like the exhaust is blowing. But than mainly happens when car is doing a regen of the DPF.

No I can hear it at front of car like a tin wherring sound sort of tapping . Looked online says it could be transmission fluid low

@Fpm  So what engine does the car have, size and petrol or diesel and how many miles done?

Is it a Manual FWD or a AWD with Haldex?

Or is it a DSG that requires a Oil change at 40,000 miles if not a DQ200 DSG?

If it is a AWD the Haldex was due an Oil change and clean out of the pump in 2019.

If it has low transmission fluid there is something wrong then so best get it checked out.

It’s a diesel 1.6 fwd it’s done 45,000

@Fpm

Is it a manual.

If the transmission fluid is low it had to have leaked or been low since built.

Best have a mechanic look at the car and if you must a technician at a Skoda garage, but remember they appear to mostly be deaf or hard of hearing.

It’s a Manuel

Does it sound like a whine? A bit like when some car reverse?

If so it could well be low transmission fluid like others have stated.
