How to remove the plastic covers on the Scout '15

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm a owner of the Skoda Octavia Scout from 2015, and I'm planning on making some visual changes.

I want to Plasti Dip the cover beneath the front and rear bumper.

Is there a way to remove these covers, or do I have to Plasti Dip them while on the car?

Attached a few pictures incase you're wondering what I mean 😊

Regards,

Hestvik

Anyone? 😄

I think you will find that the front is part of the Front Bumper assembley  and the rear is part of the rear bumper assembley.

On the front, the front grill surround, the front bumper and the fog light surround (including the lower grill and the air defuser that you want to colour) - are all one unit.  One removed, you have to remove individual parts from the back of the bumper itself (which will be air defuser).  Its a jigsaw puzzle and requires two people to remove and then a lot of time/effort and fiddling around to get the front bumper back on correctly.

On the rear, the bumper starts immediately below the taillights.  This include the rear defuser you want to paint.  Again; a two person job and fiddly to put back on and get it lined up properly.

Sounds to me that they're staying where they are 😄 I'll mask it to the best of my ability and paint it 👌
