SKODA Connect App (iOs) Keeps crashing

Featured Replies

Hi

Anyone else using this App and finding it more unreliable than reliable?

Since I got my iV in Spetmeber, everytime I want to use the app, it asks me to log in, then it crashes, then it is unavailable then crashes mid use.

There's been updates and I've done the usual log out, delete, reinstall etc etc etc.

Cheers

Yeah me too.

I feel it started after an update a couple of months ago, as previously it worked perfectly.

I've been in touch with SKODA UK who are aware of it. I've sent screen videos and all kinds so at least they have the evidence

Pleased its not just me!

Hopefully a fix should arrive soon

Thanks

It started some months ago and it is very annoying. Every second time I use the app it crashes and I need to login again... So dissapointed :(

Just had my Superb to the dealer due to lack of notifications in the Connect App. They can't get the app to work at all with my car. Seems like the "servers" are very unstable and doesn't work well :(

It's working fine on Android (was using it a few days ago and I just tried it again) so I guess it's the iOS app in particular having the issue.

OMG This app is dreadful and so frustrating. Just doesnt work at all.

No action from SKODA for a service which is useless.

Very frustrating considering it was working fine until it was updated recently!

They’re combining the ‘Skoda Connect’ and ‘My Skoda’ apps.

So I’m guessing development is focused on that.. hopefully fixing the bug in the process

I received this email last week from Skoda:

We are pleased and excited to announce the merger of two of our current mobile application portfolio; the ŠKODA Connect App and MyŠKODA App will become one in our new application called MyŠKODA.

The effect of the merger will make the use of our ŠKODA digital services even simpler for you, ensuring that you will have all of the important functionalities of the two previous apps accessible in one place.

To enable login to the new application you can simply continue to use your current ŠKODA ID credentials, then read and confirm the updated legal terms to start using the all new App. If you would like more information regarding personal data processing then it is available here. If you have been using a third party login credential within the current MyŠKODA App (e.g. login via Facebook) and you do not have a ŠKODA ID (used for example in other ŠKODA Apps), you are able to create a new ŠKODA ID here or directly in the new MyŠKODA app.

The new MyŠKODA application will be easily recognised by its all new logo and will be available on Google Play (after 04/12/2020) and Apple App Store (after 10/12/2020) as an update of the current ŠKODA Connect App.

If you are yet to install the current ŠKODA Connect App you can easily do so now via this link.

We believe that you will find using the new MyŠKODA application not only useful and enjoyable, but that it also helps to deliver the mobile interaction with your vehicle with more convenience and comfort.
