Collected my car 3 days ago and noticed today that there are oil spots up the side of the car and on the back. Appears to be coming from somewhere around the front wheels but haven't had chance to have a good look yet.

Am hoping that its not leaking from the engine somewhere!

Hmm, sounds strange. Possibly one to get the dealer to have a look at? Perhaps a photo would help us diagnose the problem.

Could just be the dealer having put too much tyre black on the wheels. Some of the stuff they use is like used engine oil and will fling off at speed.

I'v often found this to be caused by spilt petrol or diesel on the road mixing with the tar and the wheels flinging it up the side of the car.

It's a real pain to get off too!

Yep - same with me when new. Tyre dressing - v annoying but only temporary.
