I wonder if anyone could please tell me if my car is fitted with an EML warning light as I understand that not all vehicles are - some using the 'heater glow plug warning light' for this purpose.

 

My engine type is CAYB (EA189).  Advice would be much appreciated.  Thanks.

Gussin, Thank you so much for the quick response, although it is not exactly the answer that i'd hoped for as my car has just failed the test due to no EML light illuminating on ignition    (fault 8.2.22.c.2)  Looks like a trip to the main dealers is on the cards this week then.  Despite hours spent on the net, I canot find out if there was any way of disabling this so maybe I could 're'enable' it.  Plenty of info on disabling it temporarily if it is glowing.  Fingers tightly crossed it isn't a main ECU problem...
