Windscreen crack....

Featured Replies

Getting this replaced on Thursday (lunchtime) so that I can then get a new MoT.... (the crack is just under the red line - some of the crack does not show too well)

Thats a biggie, looks like a stress fracture from the tax disc area. I assume it started small and then has spread in fits and starts.

It started back in January (http://www.briskoda.net/forums/octavia/cracked-windscreen/44621/) and initially appeared as a crack that was about a foot long.

Since then it has gradually continued to grow. I never hear it crack/grow when I am in the car (not sure if I would?) - seems to do it in secret (when I have my back turned!)

Whats that underneath the crack attached to the screen?

- Tax disk and aerial for my car kit (above the crack)

- Site car pass (yellow and white) in a tax disk holder, but not stuck to the screen and never seems to be checked when driving onto site.

- GPS receiver for my pocket PC

:thumbdwn: I had to have a new windscreen last month as my crack was in the drivers side corner in the outside glass. :)
