06 TDI change DSG oil?

Featured Replies

So, due to a dodgy shoulder, my Fabia vrs is sleeping and I'm using a MK2 Octavia 1.9 diesel DSG. Its poverty spec, hubcaps, balloon tyres, black door handles that you have to put the key in to lock. It is really comfortable for what it is though and it seems happy enough doing 120 miles a day on crap roads.

I've done a basic service on it, it's on 180k. Should I change the gearbox oil, or is it best left alone if it's happy?

If it hasn't had its dsg oil changed at 160k then it needs doing as it needs changing every 40k

No change in 160k. Or when was it last done. It is down to removing contaminants from the wear of the clutch so sedate extra urban driving is very easy on it but still, an oil change and oil filter change will be advisable..

^^^ I'm in this camp, especially on an older car that probably isn't bothered, Lol.
