Spark plugs

Featured Replies

Why doesn't the small drivers manual you get with the car mention Spark Plugs, do they think we're incapable of fitting  them?

The Owners manual is just there covering the basics and is not a Service Manual.

With the tools there is no reason why you should not change them very easily.

?

Have you looked at what you need to do to change them?

I was a VM in the Army, I know how to do  it, my point was why don't they tell you what type they are?

Easy enough to check what spark plugs are needed for whichever petrol engine, using the Reg number or VIN.  Best to know if the spark plug type was changed for engines from when the car was launched and owner's manuals printed and maybe never updated.

When I had my Roomster I used only NGK 97153 (IZFR6P7).

Our local car spares lists around 4 types of spark plugs such as platinum or iridium tips at various prices. What one I should choose?
