Skoda Kamiq condensation

Featured Replies

I got my new Kamiq few days ago.  I felt so disappointed when I noticed that every evening there was condensation in both trafficator lights.  The garage of my dealer will check the problem, but is there any cure? I don't find it normal. This phenomenon change the appearance of the car. I consider that as a malfunction.

It's expected behaviour and mentioned in the manual. I think the headlights are ventilated.

Thank you for your response. The next question WHY some cars present  this "problem", and some other not?

Due to climate outside and inside temperature

So you say that all Skoda xenon lights become foggy in winter. Strange habit :-)🙄🙄🤐 I haven't seen that in other models

Thank you

Strange. They don't mention this when ordering the car. When you receive your car pups! this is in the manual! Simply clever!

It will depend on the dampness of where it has been stored

Should dry out after a few days if you keep it in a well ventilated garage,

not a lot you can do if you choose to park it outside apart from try and park it with lights facing the sun (obviously the sun is weaker in winter and air not as dry)

Hope this condensation will be less intense in time. But you know, I live in a country where rarely rains :-)

Yes. See the link to the manual above, also the link to the explanation posted by @NeilRW

How many more times can people say it’s normal before you accept that it’s normal?

I get this on my Kamiq AND it’s in the manual.

You may not like it BUT it is normal🙄

Yea I read the manual. I know its in there. I just find hard to accept that my headlights are fogging to the point where they are completely white. And you cant even ask anything, because it is "normal".

Anyway, thanks to everyone who replied.

@carloss

Have you tried the tips in the link above, as it explains why it happens and what you can do to help deal with it

But if you’ve read the manual and know that it’s normal why ask if it’s normal?

Maybe it’s me🫤
