Rather lock with the remote.

It only locks if the car is already locked. Well that is the case with Kessy anyway. You don’t say what sort of locking you have.

I think it has sensors that detect whether the keys are inside or outside the car and I suspect it won’t lock if the keys are inside. This is how the door locking works anyway. If you have a spare key to hand, you can try it!

Traditional Key - not KESSY.

I have managed to lock it in a Audi A6 before - so i think it is common to all VAG.

Dont think you can lock KESSY in.

Yes I’ve locked my keys in the boot ,  opened the boot with the remote puts keys down, loaded shopping and pressed the close boot with the boot button, had to go and get the spare from home to open the car and retrieve my keys.

Not found a way to disable - but i be surprised if it wasn't possible in vcds

Safest way so far, is to open the car (all doors) if you want the boot. You then need to lock the car when you are done.

If you open boot only, it will be locked when you close.
