Well, thats what you get for trying to be too courteious to a copper. Pulled so far over to the left in a tight spot, I suddenly heard a scraping noise and saw my wingmirror pushed right in.... Basically knackered the casing - a smooth down and respray can't save it from the deep scratches....

Wonder how much a casing is?

Jason is it beyond chips away or similar. They have done some ggod work for me on the fleet cars. So good the likes of F... , V........ and Ni...... have missed some of our minor prangs when returning cars!

Think it is beyond any form of repair sadly. A new casing is probably cheap enough - just the primer and spraying which will be a cost.

Still check out chips away they did this job for about £80 on site I supplied parts, oh and those dates are a Monday - Thursday bloody ex being difficult over half term!

£160 for a new casing/mirror including paint/fitting etc for me after a nice elderly lady swiped mine on a roundabout. Could have been worse, thought she was going to take the whole side of the car with her...

I thought just the bit of plastic which was sprayed body coloured would be quite cheap to buy on its own. :confused:

Just the painted part is available form the dealers I was quoted around
