Replacement windscreen - does ADAS need calibration

Featured Replies

Replacement windscreen on the superb does ADAS need calibration.

Has ACC, emergency braking and blind spot assist - but not traffic sign or lane assist?

I beleive the ACC is in the front grille? Any sensors in the windscreen?

Doesn’t sound like it.

Easiest way to check is to look from outside behind mirror, if you just have 2 small circles, it’s just light and rain sensor.  If there is a bigger hatched area with a big clear patch, then there is camera up there that will need calibrating

Blind spot assist uses parking sensors, there is extra ones behind rear wheel arch (not just at back), nothing to do with windscreen.

No it doesn't, it used two rear radar units behind the rear bumper :)

Still, I agree that given the OP doesn't have lane assist, no recalibration should be needed after windscreen replacement.
