Octavia Vrs 2.0Tsi whte smoke when accelerating?

Hi all.

 

I  am a happy owner of a Octavia Vrs 2.0Tsi patrol and new on this forum.

 

Right now there is a little problem with my car.

When i accelerating my car put out so much white smoke so i can't see nothing from my rear window.

On idle everything is normal.

 

Last day my mechanic checked my water system vacuum test and see if there was some gas inside the water but nothing to see. He told me everything is fine?

My car is using some water but not so much.

 

So is there a anyone having the same problem with this car or are there anything else we should check?

 

I got the car for 6 months soon. 

 

Hope someone can give me good inputs here.

Also need to add. My spark plugs are new NGK and my mechanic also checked these and inside the cylinder. He told me all the cylinders and spark plugs are fine to.

It seems like this smoke is normal. Mine vrs also doing some mist on my rear window.

I think this is completely normal.  Check coolant levels, but I think you will find that a good hot blast will fix your car (once it is warmed up).

Just another thought - does the smoke smell oily or sweet?

Okay. Maybe it is because the car is used for short trips.

 

Nope no smell.

Yes, its excessive condensation.  Take her out for an hour or so (within the 5 miles of your house) and problem should disappear.

There has been a massive thread on this in the past. Seems fairly common and normal unless you are seeing another issue i.e. coolant loss or usage.

In winter time because condensation exhaust is full of water...

I have changed oem exhaust for sporty and it was full of water... It is normal..

Normal in cars that do short runs.

I'd be more worried if I saw clouds of black smoke under heavy acceleration...unless it was a diesel.

I take my car out for a long trip. And speed it up for a long time. And problem solved. It was water in exhaust system.
