Fabia mk2 1.4 TDI wipers inop

Featured Replies

Hi Guys. Had a message from the owner of my old Fabia 1. 4TDI to say that the wipers have stopped working all speeds at the stork.

Due to restrictions I can't travel to have a look. The owner tells me they can be activated using a Snap On scanner which to me rules out the motor, relay and wiring.

Anyone come across this?

It's a 57 plate level 3 spec

Have them check cabin fuse 26.

I think there is some sort of convenience module or similar, that CAN suffer from corroded terminals. It may be possible to clean them up but otherwise, its replacement. Fuse(s) first though, as Wino mentioned.

Either fuse or worn contact in stalk

No problem.

Just in case you think "it can't be the fuse cos the scanner made them work", that would be the other fuse. :)
