I've got a spanner icon on my display & wondered what I need to do for a 111,500 mile service, & how do I get rid of the spanner on the dashboard display

To get rid of the icon check out this video, its very simple.

 

As for service I would change the oil, filters (oil, air, cabin and fuel), check the fluids (coolant and brake) and check the brake pads and discs. 

I have a 2006 1.2 MK1 with 121k miles and they are my yearly checks although I change my oil and filter every 6 months.
