Kodiaq 2020 Baseline - Steering Wheel upgrade to Sportline with paddles

Featured Replies

Hi fellow Skoda Owners

I bought our first Skoda, about a year ago. Initially it was going to be "Mom's Taxi", but it has really become a lovely all rounder family car.  We bought the baseline, as it had everything we needed ( at that stage ).

BUT, Now that I drive the bear more often too, I do feel I should have bought the Sportline instead - because of the paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

So the Questions :

1) Anybody successfully "retrofitted" a Sportline steering wheel to the Baseline mode? ( non heated steering wheel ).

2) What model number / part number worked

3) Was there any adapter wires, harnesses needed.

4) Was Any programming needed to enable the paddles shifters.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

The gist of it is, if you don't have a heated steering wheel now, don't replace it with a heated on as the airbags are a different shape. Otherwise just about anything will fit.

You'll want to get this: https://www.skodaautoteile.de/shop/octavia-iii/innenausstattung/#cc-m-product-13131963436

Thank you @ZacDaMan72,

Do you know if it will need programming to work?  Any instruction guides to remove and fit the new wheel?

Shouldn’t be a need for programming, but European Autotech in Mona Vale should be able to help.
