Beige interior or not?

Featured Replies

I’m thinking about changing my SEL velvet red to have a beige interior. I have only seen a few pics on line with a beige interior and can’t make my mind up. I don’t have kids or pets so that shouldn’t be a problem. Has anyone gone for the beige interior?

Beige interior - NO!

Only because when you come to sell the next owner may have kids/pets and this will put them off.  May significantly affect future value.

Plus you are likely to mark interior accidentally through day to day use.

I would think again but just my thoughts.

Thanks it’s going to be on a PCP so I won’t be the one who has to worry about that if I’m handing it back in at the end. I don’t tend to buy my cars at the end of the PCP. If I did i would run them until they die anyway. I see where you are coming from if I was going to sell it privately though.

I have ordered a hatch with Beige interior due to delivery in a couple of weeks. When we where shopping at the dealer it was our opinion that the advanteges was far bigger. So much brighter interior. Especially when the hatch did not have glass roof as an option. With good care and alcantara option we do not think that cleaning will be an issue.

Our octavia has a black interior however I have a one series with a full beige interior (including carpets). I love it much better than the octavia black and wish I had found one in beige.

They only thing is that carpets have been fitted with black rubber mats as I have kids and a dog!  So don’t opt for beige carpets!  Seats and dash definitely.  The leather seats on the bmw clean very easily.  Not sure about the octavia just yet!

Thanks. I’m decided if I should change the Color to crystal black now and no beige interior. :-)

Do the beige come with dark floors these days?

If the carpets are beige no way, if they are dark they maybe but the points above about marking/less desirable in the used market are pretty accurate IMHO.

Carpets are black, all "Kicking areas" is black plastic.

I drive an 18 plate Skoda Octavia with beige seats (black carpet, of course) and I’ve really enjoyed the lighter interior & more airy feel that comes with it. So much so I’ve ordered a new Octavia & have opted for beige again. My 18 plate car, an estate, also had the panoramic roof, but my new one won’t. I do think the fact I won’t have the sunroof this time means the lighter interior will work even better. I think you’ve made he right choice.

Wish I’d known you were selling!  I’ve just bought an 18 plate Octavia with beige interior, I’d been looking for one for a while, but couldn’t find an estate, so bought a hatch.  The only ‘jarring’ bit is the black steering wheel, even though the carpets and other trim are black.

I have had both (in earlier versions, not mk 4) and beige makes the car feel so much more light and airy.  On a gloomy day the black is rather depressing by comparison. Our second Octavia a mk1 L&K had tan leather, no longer available but still better than black.    (and before anyone asks have a dog, and a child)

Given a choice, I would always go for the beige now as it makes the car feel so much nicer to be in.

Mine’s a company car, so will be going back to the lease supplier. It does look nice, being the SEL model in Race Blue, and has a load of options: sunroof, LED light pack, silver roof rails, load partition net, multi digital display... though it has had a few glitches including a stressful breakdown so I won’t be entirely disappointed to see it go. It’s a shame as it’s lovely to drive and a really comfortable place to be when on a long journey. The interior definitely helps. The colour of the steering whell has never crossed my mind, but now that it has... I think all black is fine!

Sharing two pics of the beige interior (alcantara) on my IV, very happy to have choosen the beige interior

Looks nice that. I have beige and black in my current car and was apprehensive at first, but four years in and it’s worn remakably well. Seats are leather rather than cloth though, so probably helps.

It may arguably affect the future value, but I’d rather lose a bit on resale in order to have my choice during the years I have it.  I usually keep a car for at least 3 years, so spreading the (only speculated, not definite, don’t forget) loss on resale over 3 years puts it in context.  But as always, see my sig.🤫

I had a beige Alcantara interior in my Superb for over 90,00 miles and never had a problem keeping it clean. It makes for a far more pleasant cabin environment that boring black.

I strongly recommend Beige interior + black roof line on Octavia, the car looks more expensive than it is.

For example beige plastic on doors handles looks better than the black ones which looks so cheap.

I had a beige interior on a 2011 Superb Elegance and I adored it.. Yes, now and again you get stains on the seats, but I would always rather see the stains, clean them off rather than them go hidden.. I then got a 2015 Fabia - with a black interior - I hate it.. (personal preference!). I am now eagerly waiting for a Karoq with ........... drum roll ......... beige interior... all will be well in my world again....
