VRS Bumper protector

Featured Replies

You can find some options here. Some are suitable also for the RS version. But are a bit more expensive. :x

Would be interesting to know why some are not suitable for RS. From the pictures, rear bumper looks the same.

I have a PPF on that part of the bumper. Since this plastic protector stands out a bit too much for me personally.

I did wonder if it would be like the mud flaps where they say not VRS but it actually fits :)

I just got a local vinyl place to put a clear wrap on mine. Don't know why they're naked paint. So easily scratched if you use the boot.

yeah think I will see if my local detailer can put some PPF on it, it does seem an oversight as I got marks in the same place on my MK3 within weeks of getting it

Did you guys also noticed a lot of water is being held there? On top of the bumper?

yeah it does appear to sit on top of the bumper, I also seem to get a lot draining from the doors when I open them after not using it for a few days

Yes! Thought it was just where I was parked. Looks like it needs a drain hole.

Try Richard Grant Mouldings, Leighton Buzzard.  They're at  rgmautomotive.co.uk  , I suggest phoning them. They already have one for th ehatch, and should be able to tell you if it fits the vRS.  I've had five from them over the years for our Skodas - very helpful people, good prices, and the packaging even says which of their staff did the final trimming. I've had silver, matt black, and carbon fibre effect.

Do you have a pic of the mud flaps installed on the IV VRS? I am interested

Where did you get the mudflaps from? My dealer is quoting me £160 supply and fit which is way too excessive!

Got the mudflaps on superskoda.

And I fitted them by myself. Is an easy job.

Did you have to remove wheels to get the mudflaps on & Any extra drilling required?

Pretty new to the site after picking up my 1st Skoda in Dec 20...is this site safe? My Laptop flashing up non secure site and not to enter any payment credentials though it could well be my Antiviral app kicking in and being overly cautious

I'm pretty sure it's safe. I didn't have any issues with my order. And people are constantly ordering there. But maybe you can double check with another dealer in the UK. Here in Slovenia mudflaps are cheaper at the dealers than on superskoda.com

At the front you just turn the wheels and you shouldn't have any issues. At the back I also manage to do it without removing the wheels although it would be easier without them. Instructions say to drill an extra hole (at the back I think) but I skipped this step since I think flaps are sturdy enough with this extra bolt.

The site isn't using SSL, so isn't secure and all information you put in there isn't encrypted. I wouldn't advise putting in any personal details never mind any payment details on that site.   Incidentally anytime I've put anything in the basket they don't seem to deliver to the UK due to the items being too heavy!

I paid with PayPal so no payment details were put on the website.

I emailed them last week asking about one for a VRS estate, they don't make them at the moment but will mail me when they do....no indication of how long that will be.  I need one soon as my dog will end up scratching the bumper when getting in and out!

Just a suggestion. Maybe you can do something like this by yourself? I think this way your bumper would be much more protected against your dog scratching it.

They want nearly 17 euros for shipping.

Mhm. Quite expensive. But still much cheaper as buying them through official Skoda UK. :o

I wonder why such difference in price comparing to Slovenia. :wondering:
