Planning to get rid of the ugly oem wheels and get some 19”, but can not decide.

Altair, Cepeus, Trinity or Supernova.

I do not need to see your 17/18”

Those wheels look alright. What size are they Janmand?

OEM 17” I hate them they look to spacy.

You are fortunate that you can even consider such low-profile tyres and big wheels. In my part of the UK, the potholes would utterly destroy these within a matter of months

If he was in the UK I'd happily swap for the 19s on my vRS. Not sure how long they're going to last...

You would probably get more grip and a better ride with a decent stance by fitting Zenith 8J x 18" alloys from a Superb with 235/45R18 tyres.

Why are you unsure how long they will last?

More in reference to the previous comment about potholes destroying the 19s. Plenty of pot holes up here in Cumbria.

I'm sure the 19s will be fine but I honestly would've gone for the 18s and a bit more rubber given the choice.

Well 18” Skoda Trinity on the way for the car.

This brochure, has a number of different wheel options for Octavia mk4 (see page 7), don’t see Trinity though

TRINITY has a specification of 7.5Jx18 ET46 and is an OEM fitment on  the Octavia MK3 Scout, and the Superb MK2.

It's not an Octavia MK4 wheel.

It's marketed as made from "light alloy", but at 13.5kg in weight it's anything but lightweight. I would think the "heavy steel" 7.5Jx18 ET50 rim from the VW ID.3 would be lighter, although I don't have a weight for that one.

If a wheel is made for this or that does not matter, its all a matter of bolt pattetn, ET and tyre size.

New Superb and Octavia can use same wheels, tyre for 18” for Octavia 225/40, Superb 235” , I prefere 235 also for Octavia.

Hey buddy that looks nice. OEM+

What wheel is it? The polished 19" Trinity wheel with 235/40 tires?

I like those. FWIW I think Skoda has a great range of good looking wheels, just a matter of personal taste of course. I like the 18" Perseus Anthracite that my car came equipped with although I'm about the replace the wheel lug caps with chrome ones (on order from Ali Express) to 'link' the wheels with other chrome accents on the car. If I don't like the change I'll revert to back to stock.

19 inch Becruz .

I like the zx1 wheels and also the pretoria from the golfs.

@Boxerdog1 I have the same 18” Perseus wheels in my Octavia mk4, and thinking of upgrading to 19” wheels. Could you share your experience about ride quality, performance and fuel consumption after your upgrade to 19” wheels. Thanks.

Hi Tarzan, my car already had 19 inch Altair wheels as standard fitment . The only reason I changed to 19 inch Becruz was due to style preference, I tried to like the Altairs but gave up in the end !

I don't know if anyone knows of this technology by Michelin or come across it before, it's called the Acorus technology and it's supposed to prevent or reduce damage to low profile tyres. Here's an article about it. I've just come across it and it may provide the answer for those with low profiles living in areas with potholes
