Changing auxiliary belt Felicia 1.3mpi with hydraulic steering and AC

Featured Replies

Hi
I am trying to figure out how to release the belt tension because I have to change the auxiliary belt. Do you have any ideas?
I don't know which pulley is the tensioner and ho to undo it:

I checked and I don't have tensioner which is above the oil filter and I don't have space to remove the alternator. I am thinking of removing the AC compressor in order to release the belt tension but I think there should be easyer way of doing this.

Those are the best shots I was able to get.

This video should give you an idea.

Thanks for the reply!

So the tensioner pulley should be that one which is next to the alternator on the diagram?

My confusion was because the tensioner on the other 1.3mpi engines is a different kind.

Most probably.

Thanks, but I didn't have time these days and the weather is bad, so I haven't tried, may be the next week I'll try to figure it out.

In my car the Roller is moved down between the Crankshaft and the Power steering pump, on the place of the Alternator and even a little bit higher is the A/C compressor and the Alternator is moved down right next to the Tensioner, but unfortunately there is no original tension mechanism on the back of it(look at the photo in the first post). It looks like it is held by some kind of plate in its position, but it is the one that left to try before giving up and go to mechanic.

Keep in mind that may say to you that you will need a new pulley too.

@Raychev05

Are you sure you have a Felicia engine and not a Fabia one?

I'm 99% sure that it is felicia one, but my dad told me that some years ago the block was cracked and the welding is right on the engine code and now it can't be seen. But in the documents of the car it is written that it is a felicia one.

It's Felicia, Fabia block doesn't have pushrod cover under the cylinder head.

Is it a special engine in limited series just for L&K Felicia??

What do you mean? And why do you mention L&K?

@Raychev05 car is L&K.

How many Felicias had engines with Power Steering AND Air Conditioning from factory?

The car is not L&K. It just has L&K interior.

No Felicia had power steering and AC from factory, but many have PS from factory and retrofited AC - which is this case. Problem is, that these instalations are different in each car..

Btw, how many Fabias had engimes with power steering pump?

It is jus my interior that is L&K and the engine is 1.3mpi 50kw with 68hp. As far as I know the L&K models had 1.3 mono for hatchbacks and 1.6mpi for the estates.
For the A/C as I said in another thread I have seen 3 cars except mine with the same setup and if I saw correctly one of those three is @Thefeliciahacker's Sportline.

I know about two variants of AC+PAS brackets, neither of them looks like yours...

The roller on your photo looks like is on the same spot as on mine. And the barcket/plate for the AC looks similar.

Looks like you're right, I was confused by this plate, which is not present in my picture, i thought it's another variant of holder from the 1st picture.

 Looking again at that groove under hex screw, it looks like tensioning mechanism.

Still, that belt route looks weird..
