I am fed up of the trying to keep the black plastic / rubber trim on the doors and front an rear bumpers clean and so am thinking about removing them.

I have seen on the forum a how to on removing door strips on a Fabia. Those on my Oct vRS should come off the same way - hairdryer and lighter fluid to remove the glue. However, before i take the plunge does anyone know whether or the not the front and rear are simply glued on? Or are there going to be nasty holes beneath the front and rear strips where the strips have been inserted into the bumpers with some kind of poppers or brackets?

Don't want to go ahead if I am going to be looking at having to get holes in the bumpers filled. :thumbdwn:

You cant remove the ones on the bumpers without getting them filled afterwards, aslo the bumper mounting bolts are behind them.

I removed the strips on mine and colour coded the bumper inserts. It looks great when the cars clean but I couldn't remove all of the adhesive that stuck the strips on the doors so you can see where the strips used to be when the car's dirty.

Mine are fading, and not sure if i can get this done under the warrenty as the car isn't that old and it's a bit disappointing. If not I guess that colour coding them should be a better option than removal.
