Album Art problem

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I’ve just got a 21 reg 1.5 petrol Superb Sel. It has the Amundsen media unit.

I’m playing music via a usb memory stick connected into the input in the centre storage unit. When I use this memory stick for the same purpose in my Golf estate it displays the album cover artwork for the selection playing. It isn’t doing this in the Superb, does anyone know if there  is there a setting I can change to enable this please ?

        Gary.

How big are album art covers included in mp3? Skoda head unit is unable to display very large image files inside the mp3.

Hi Paikesejanku,

thanks for this. I’m not sure how the size of the album art covers are measured. They are the ones which were embedded on the original albums which I put on the memory stick from cd’s. They all seem to appear on my Golf which has a much smaller screen than the Amundsen unit in the Skoda.

I use this tool https://www.mp3tag.de/en/  to edit mp3 tags, it shows also album art size. I use 650x650 pixel arts.

For batch resizeing I used Sanse Mp3 Art Sizer, video review:

If you ensure the album art is no larger than 500 x 500 pixels, it will display fine in the Skoda. Larger sizes won't display.

Hi everyone,

I’ve found a piece of free software, (mp3tag), which attaches the album artwork and seems to work fine on the Skoda .  Possibly the original artwork that this replaces was oversized as you say.  Either way this seems to resize it to a size that works.

Thanks for all the help and advice.

                              Gary.
