That’s strange, because the Skoda UK configurator has it starting at £ 31,085 (£34,085 before grant) for 60 Nav Loft spec

Just for a laugh, the 80 EcoSuite plus virtually all options on configurator is £50,510.  Configuration code C77NVQ9S for those that want to check .  The price is so high don’t get electric car grant (although I think configurator assumes you do, so quotes wrong final price by £3000)

If you had said 20 years ago that Skoda would be selling £50k+ cars, would have been laughed at

Keep the EV you go for below £50,000  to get the £3,000 grant.

Had a look. The heat pump price has gone down from last I checked

I think you'll find that the £50,000 limit excludes customer specified options, other than those relating to the engine.

Or do a deal for £49,999.99

@TheWandererSounds like you got the nail on the head & pay £46.999.99. No flies on you.

All above board, just very sneaky. 🥸

Perhaps the UK spec Enyaq heat pump is cheaper as it is only there to help keep the battery at its optimum temperature (to maximise driving range) according to the build configurator - still. Unlike the rest of the world (and the Enyaq's VW cousins) where it actually heats the cabin....

I can give no rational reason why this misinformation annoys me - but it does!

The Government uses phrase non standard options

To me that is accessories and things bought separately

I would have thought standard factory options (except the extended warranty and servicing contract) are therefore included, so the fully loaded car which cost £54k wouldn’t get the £3k grant.

But as others have pointed out it’s sensible to not exceed £49,999.99 (actually it’s bit more than that as first registration fee is excluded).

I take that to mean Dealer / Specialist Fit Options.

They are things that will be on the car and on the invoice before delivery.

So the Mud Flaps, Disabled Controls / conversions, Blue Light Services Suspension, 1 or 2 year Warranty Extended /Service Plan, so bits and finance plans / agreements.

Has anybody managed to get a deal? Doesn’t look like they’re providing any discounts yet. Enyaq is not available on drivethedeal and carwow offers are all the standard £750 off for pcp that you get from any Skoda dealer.

It’s a bit of a misrepresentation showing it as an 8.6% ‘saving’ when £3K of that is government grant 🙄...

  • john999boy changed the title to Enyaq order

Leave it "on the shelf", they're soon going to start discounting when they don't sell.

Also I tend to think that it will be quite regional in regards to sales, because of the charging infrastructure or lack of it in many parts.

I'm outside Guildford and I've not got many charging stations around me, also if I want to get to the West Country, I'm going to be suffering charge anxiety, because they get even more sparse and if you go to West Somerset I don't know of any between Taunton and Ilfracombe via Minehead and Porlock.

The charging station infrastructure isn't really good enough unless you live in London or major city, so outside of them I don't think that they're going to get many (if any) sales.

@TheWanderergranted out on the middle of the moors there's not too many, but then there's no petrol stations either, doesn't look too bad from what I can see. The Lowest Spec enyaq will do 250 miles, similar to my current Tesla, more like 200 in the dead of winter but you'll usually be within 200 miles of a socket of some kind or other.

Still think I'll be carrying one of these in the back.

^^^ That joke goes back to when BMW were even selling the BMW i3's with a range extender engine installed.

Lots thought that some might as well have a portable wind turbine and if no wind power it with their own.

The new local to me charging hub has the landscaping done with srubs and trees planted and the new earthworks seeded.

Picnic Tables in and various fast food places and shops nearby should make it popular with travellers wanting to charge on the A90 between Dundee & Aberdeen.

Just a pity that there are no Solar Charging Canopies or a Wind Turbine and a storage battery included at the hub.

There is a nice Country park nearby for those wanting to take a walk or cycle while their vehicle is charging.
