Premium Floor Mats

Featured Replies

Having come to SKODA from a BMW 5 series, one fo the things that I am quite disappointed with the carpet mats that came with the car.

The drivers mat on my VRS 230 already has a heel hole in it, after only 34000 miles.

Does any one have any recommendations for a pair of decent, thick floor mats please?

Even with the better quality MKII VRS I used to buy a set of VRS mats every 2 years or so.. In the MkIII I used thick black rubber & carpet Halfords mats, which were fairly expensive and still look decent after many years,  to protect the thin original ones.  There's a good reason why Skoda's are cheaper than BMWs. Skimping on quality in the carpets, sound dampening etc. Of course every company is under pressure to reduce costs & weight to improve economy.

I have the original Skoda clip in carpet mats underneath & have Michelin rubber mats on top, no issues with any wearing on the original mats & the Michelin rubber mats are very hard wearing, keeping the original Skoda mats intact.

Thanks. Although I'm not a fan of rubber (ooo-er!)

I'm just trying to find some decent premium aftermarket mats that will bring some comfort as well as practicality.

Don't make things complicated. Buy just drivers mat separately from official dealers, not a big deal for every couple of years. Mine lasted around 4.

I don't use rubber, hate it.

Update: I ended up buying these from Car Mats 4u: https://www.carmats4u.com/catalog/product/view/id/42212/s/skoda-octavia-2013-onwards-exclusive-tailored-car-mats/category/2/

They're pretty decent, although I would have preferred even more plush mats. For the rear, I've put these on top of the original ones, and they're fine.
