I think green... but maybe they could offer a choice?

I've been pondering blue for mine... Too late now - I should have done them when I bought the car...

With both the VW Golf GTi and the Seat Leon Cupra R having red brake calipers it is nice to see a different colour on the Skoda vRS' cars.

roumour has it...skodas changing the colour to red soon too (cost cutting to use the same paint) audi use red too dont they? i like the green blue ones are on erm (cant remmeber the car make!)

green i like.... i also loke blue of R32

31 for green and none for the others as I post.

SUK - are you lurking?

I think it should change colour in the rain.

They should be red or black. Green calipers just look tacky imho :D

Chris

I can see why they're doing it - potential buyers who dont undertand/know the significance may think they look tacky.

They should leave green as an option though (I guess it'd be £250+ though)

The Octy vRS at the Geneva show had red, much better than the green IMO:thumbup: :D

Keep them coming.

SUK - are you lurking?

Just in case they aren't I'll email them in a few days :) At the end of the day the people voting are current and possible furture owners.

green,green,green,green,green..... why copy others.green is the best:D :D :D

Where is the option for Blue, look nice on a Blue vRS

I love the green calipers - make the car look different from every other "performance" motor on the market, individual to the vRS brand. And the heritage of them too... green all the way for me.

Perhaps they are moving to red so they can more easily accommodate a Brembo upgrade/option/std fit set up on a vRS-R model... :rubchin:

Blue belongs on R32 and R32 only. ;)

But I'm allergic to G..G...G...Gr.. Gre.. Gree....Green being a Rangers fan ;)

Unfortunately it looks like were going to have to get used to the Red Calipers. I emailed Skoda Customer care with the poll results and got the following back.

Btw Thats for the Prompt reply from Skoda

"Concerning your question I am sorry to inform you that there was really such a decision made and since the 22. calendar week the Octavia RS model will be produced with the red design of the brake caliper to any other colour. The decision was made due to various marketing and rather internal reasons in the whole VW group.

I believe that the customers will get used to this change and will like the red designed calipers as well. "

So you'd better get your orders in quickly as this is ww19. To be honest I'd be a little pis*ed off if it were a case I wasn't informed about a change like that when ordering the car.

Were alright, we have ours in Green :D.

You can buy green paint, if you're really that concerned :D

I called into my dealer today and he confirmed the change to red calipers for 2007 models. It shouldn't be too much of a problem to have them painted in an alternative colour if you are that bothered. I've been told that the police have asked for their cars to have their brake calipers painted to black or silver to make them less conspicuous to people when sat by the road or in a car park.
