Update on my lights. When I change my lights back to Left hand traffic, they will stay on LH until I get out of the car and lock it. As soon as you get back in again it’s on Right Hand traffic.
It was in the garage a full day yesterday to be fixed.

Phone call last night to say it was fixed, come pick it up.
Opened the car and checked light settings. Right Hand traffic was displayed still.
They are now going to create a ‘ticket’ and escalate the matter.

Sorry to bring up an older thread, but did you get this resolved, I seem to have a similar issue which a software update didn't resolve?

I think my car has been in twice since and still not fixed. I’ve just been told the manufacturer are aware of it and just waiting for a fix. Whenever that is.

Mine has this option and is stuck on right hand, and cannot be changed to left hand.

I am having this exact same issue on my mk4 VRS - it just won't let you change it from right-hand to left-hand.

I am also having an issue with the ACC where it slows down for cars in the left hand lane, I wonder if this is part of the same issue?  (If I was driving on the right, to pass a car on the left would be undertaking if that makese sense?)

Be interested to see if there is a fix?

Hi @Ozzy25 - I've just taken delivery of an Octavia and am having the same issue- defaults to "Driving on the Right" and also a bit buggy when trying to change it to "Driving on the Left" (sometimes takes a few goes to get it right)

Did you get your issue resolved?

@BacktoaVRS Did you have any luck with this?

thanks!

No to lights being fixed and no to ACC being fixed.

@Ado12345 No - been back a couple of times and they say Skoda are aware of it and will release a fix in due course - could be 2 weeks, could be 2 years.  Not impressed as it really is spoiling what is otherwise a nice car

Ok thanks for getting back to me! Shame that they haven't managed to get to it so far.

Ah ok thanks for getting back to me! V annoying.

Hi guys,

I did a little bit more experimentation with the lights issue.

It seems that my car's my lights are set up for UK (Left hand side of the road driving) by default but the issue is that in the menu "Driving on the right" is selected- so the menu selection is wrong.

The reason why I think that is because if I go into the menu and select "driving on the right" (even though it's already selected) the beam pattern shifts to the right. If I then select "driving on the left" it then shifts back to the left.

So I actually think that it's been set up correctly but the menu is incorrect l, but only initially.

Might be worth having a look for yourselves. I found parking up by a wall to be able to see the light beam pattern worked well.

Cheers

You're absolutely right. I did a video some time ago -

It starts with the setting on it's default position "driving on the right", then going in the menu, and actually selecting "driving on the right", which changes the beam. Then, select "driving on the left", then "right" again, etc. It appears, that even though the "driving on the right" option seems selected in the menu, it's actually not. So if you want to change it to "driving on the left", you need to first select "...the right", then "...the left" if it make sense...

Long story short, even if the menu says "driving on the right", the lights are actually set up properly for "driving on the left".

Hope it helps! :)

Not a problem. :) I've posted the video in another topic, when I did it back in July... Can't remember which one exactly, but I was prompted to do the test (and record) it by a post on here. :)
