My car has this too and has been noticible for last 3 or 4 months. Was going to leave it until I get my first service and ask dealer for a warranty fix.

My Mk1 Octy has this in the side repeater. Can this be replaced under warranty??

hope so, I haven't contacted the dealer but it has been a fault since new. It's teh only fault I have, so far, so am a bot reluctant to make a 2 hrs round trip to teh dealer just for this.

Does anyone know is these lamps are easy to come off, can't see any retaining screws

No problem with mine and the car is 12 months old now.

I seen the unit today, they didn't replace it yet as they were busy...but there are Two screws holding it in. The go in from the top, unfortunately the mirror has to come out, btw he mentioned it's a lot thinner than Mk1 and very easy to break.

closer inspection shows a very small crack - like mirror has ben "clipped" - bang goes any warranty claim!!

pity that as it's known issue, certainly when all the reflective coating on mine went and the bulb eventually blew the girl who does the parts ordering said they'd had a few

I was told there about 100 Euro, I don't fancy breaking too many.
