Hi,

 

Ive got a 2018 Estate, when I go over a large speed bump (i.e long enough so both wheels on the speed bump) I get a creaking / groaning sound, particular as the back comes off the bump.

 

Ive searched the forums, which mention front bushes, bit I am not sure if this is coming from the rear? If it is the bushings, was this resolved on later models? Could it be the springs compressing? 

 

Anyone else got this? How did you resolve? Is it a warranty claim, or does it just need a bit of lube somewhere?

Could be the rear sway bar links

 

Only way to know for sure is to jack the car up and start moving things up and down to determine where the noise is coming from

Mine was doing the same but was front roll bar bushes. You could grease the bushes and see if it stops or get them to replace under warranty. I had my entire front bar replaced by the main dealer. It’ll go again and is a common vag issue. Only way to cure for good is polly bush it. 

Is it worse if you brake as you go over the bump ?

 One bump (right by my house) is where it is worse? I try to go over very slowly and so do not usually brake. Ill try braking when I go out shortly
