CAR WONT REV AT ALL SEE CODES

Featured Replies

Car broke down yesterday engine won't rev at all could it be the acceleration pedal at fault got codes 01314 and 00819

would car still run with both these faults would it stop car from revving epc light is on and brake pedal is solid

The second code just means your A/C is too low on refrigerant.

No relevance.

I don't like the solid brake pedal part, it suggests a massive air leak somewhere, try disconnecting the servo vacuum pipe at the manifold and block it off temporarily.

Does it rev now?

I have checked all vacuum pipes and all are fine

If the servo itself was leaking, the pipe could be fully functional but air could still be leaking through it. Try blocking the manifold connection as suggested?

You haven't checked the servo itself though.

What engine is fitted? Any fault codes from the ABS control module?

If it's a drive-by-wire car, it could be a failed pedal position sensor (or a damaged wire going to it).

All Fabias are drive by wire. We're chasing the solid brake pedal first because an air leak would force the ECU to shut the throttle completely.

PCV diaphragm or outlet pipe failure is another possible air leak, as is purge valve output hose.
