Two warning beeps - why?

Featured Replies

Over the last day I've had warning beeps (two) on a few occasions while driving, with no warning lights appearing or any other indication of anything being wrong. What might this mean?

Depends on your model that you own but on my MK3 and my old MK2 the warning beeps were the outside temp was lower than 4 degrees C  outside temp

Thanks - that is possible - I'm using it unusually early in the morning!

Have you accidently set the speed warning function if you exceed a certain preset speed? It happened to me when I was using the preset button on the stalk to zero the computer settings and  I unknowingly activated this function and the beep was heard over a certain speed.  It plagued me for a week until I had a light bulb moment and realised. I always read the manual from cover to cover and this dawned on me. You need to cancel the Speed Warn function by following the instructions in the owners manual under 'Warning against excessive speeds'.

Thanks - I'll look into that. Our model is the bottom of the range, so I didn't know of that function (which isn't to say that it isn't there!).

Our Roomster has the basic display screen (not the Maxidot) and the Roomster shares much with the Fabia.

It's quite possible that all the hardware except the control switch(es) is present, and it's supposed to be disabled in software.

That would also have a very subtle snowflake/frost symbol come on but its not really a light, like the temp or management light, etc. I think its next to the fuel gauge.
