Key fob closing windows.

Featured Replies

Had a minor bump in the motor ,had a workshop repair it.

Before my bump, I could lock all Windows & doors by pressing the locking button, it doesn't close and lock on the button anymore, I assume when it was repaired the battery was disconnected.

I have gone into the cars onboard car settings via the infotainment radio thingy to access the locking menu, still no joy.

Can anyone advise on how I can reset the auto lock?

I know on previous cars i have had (different manufacturers) this function is also linked to the 'one touch' window operation. If you reset those then the window closing from the fob may work again.

Happy to be corrected :)

Had the same issue with by SEL after purchase. Lower each window fully, raise them until closed release and then hold the button up for another 1 second afterwards and that should enable the global opening and closing. Be warned though, I put my keys in my pocket soon after wards and was doing some work outside the back of the house. Went round the front and all the car windows were open. Me bending and working must have pressed the unlock button and lowered all the windows.

Been there, seen it , done it, only that time, it happened to be snowing, came back to the car with fresh snow on the drivers seat!

At least it hadn't thawed ,just brushed it out, it was my old ml 2.

I think it's called 'comfort windows' in the infotainment.
