tilt alarm

Featured Replies

I'm looking into ways to protect the catalytic converter on my Superb II. Has anyone done this successfully, or got thoughts on how to go about it.

Thanks.

I would have thought that a physical deterrent such as a metal box around the catalytic converter, with the appropriate warning stickers, would have been more effective as people just seem to ignore car alarms these days and those that do try to stop a theft have been threatened with physical violence.

I believe the factory alarm might have a tilt sensor already.

Otherwise try and park somewhere that's really awkward for access to the cat. Also remember that the cat on diesel models at least is mostly in the engine bay (part of the DPF assembly) and difficult to access without the car being off the ground.

I went to jack up my estate rear corner the other day and the alarm went off. I hadn't unlocked.
