music formats to download to skoda admunsen

Featured Replies

I downloaded some music to the car (Admunsen) all stuff that played on both Yeti and Fabia monte.

Only two of the tracks played, I thought they were all mp3 but some (the majority were not)

Does anyone know which formats are compatible, please.

That's more for devices than file formats. I'm having "fun" with an iPod Touch at the moment.

I had 'fun' with my ipod touch (same car spec) in that it wouldn't connect with the car. Dealer told me that the ipod was too old (though it connected with my friend's VW Golf parked alongside).  I have put my music on a dual-ended flash stick from Argos and it works perfectly. USBc plugs into car, older connection into my PC.

My iPod Touch is the 6th generation, so not particularly old. The dealer suggested a USB stick but I saw a post on a forum from someone having similar issues. Would you be able to post a link to the specific stick you bought?

I tried the second of the two usb c ports, nearest the dash, this time using an Anker adaptor and it all played.

The usb stick is a 64 gb Sandisk ultra usb 3 stick.

Incidently I bought a 32 gb stick to try and that also works well, Hurray!

Replying to Neil:  Argos SanDisk Ultra Dual drive USB 3.1 Type C   32GB   £13.99   Cat No. 769/9476              or  64GB  Cat No. 784/5251 £22.99

It has Type C one end, which fits the car without needing the adapter, and the older USB on the other end, which plugs into my PC.  It's on a sliding mechanism so the unused connection is hidden.  Neat little gadget.

I copied and pasted itunes to it and it works a treat.

 Thanks DRW, have ordered one.

The memory stick seems to have done it, as long as it's left plugged in all the time. It's a slight shame there's nothing concealed USB socket.
